Sena Lowry
I was a self-taught artist until fifteen years ago when I began taking classes at Clark Community College. The classes were taught by local talented and inspiring artists. I also attended workshops offered in our area. Being exposed to the wonderful artists in Clark County was such an eye-opener for me. I definitely grew as an artist, earning awards in the Oregon Society of Artists, Northlight magazine, and Southwest Washington Watercolor Society, of which I am a juried artist.
I teach a watercolor class at Smith Tower in downtown Vancouver that is part of the Do Life Ministry of Crossroads Community Church. The class is open to and attended by all levels of painters: beginners, experienced (but not ready to paint on their own), advanced, and independent artists. It is an opportunity for me to give back to others and I enjoy the many friendships that we form because of our love of watercolor painting.
