Artist Statement

Born and raised in the Puget Sound area, I was looking for something stress free to keep me busy after retiring from 40 years of teaching. I decided to try my hand at painting—something I’d always been drawn to. Some of my work is plein air and some is from photos I have taken. I’ve taken a wide variety of classes and work in both watercolor and acrylic. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow as an artist.
