About The Event
Carolyn Gunderson will share how she incorporates them into her art. If you own watercolor crayons, by all means, bring them with you. If not, no problem, there will be plenty available to use. All we each need to do it bring paintings that could use a little something and see if watercolor crayons can add the unexpected zip.
Hello Artist Friends,
I hope to see you at the May 13 AHA where we can have some fun with watercolor crayons.
We will start with a small vignette (painting) of fruit, flower, leaf, veggie or your choice of subject matter. They will be done on watercolor paper, white and/or colored. (I will provide the paper for you for this part of the demo) Everyone will have time to work on these.
Then I will demo watercolor crayons to add some life to an old painting. You will work on any paintings you have brought.
Supplies Provided: Watercolor Paper (white and colored)
Watercolor Crayons (mine are Caran d’Ache)
Artists Need to Bring: Brushes
Paper towels
Chalk pencil or Watercolor pencil or White Transfer paper, for drawing
Water container/cup (don’t use a lot of water)
Old paintings - watercolor, acrylic, cradleboards
Photos for reference, if needed.
Bring Watercolor Crayons if you have them, water-soluble only!
NO NEED TO PURCHASE WATERCOLOR CRAYONS, THEY ARE SPENDY AND I HAVE ENOUGH FOR ALL TO SHARE AND USE FOR THE DEMO.
