About The Event

Open to the public! Join us for this demo and paint along with Mary Griffin Emert as she demonstrates contour drawings as we paint along.

Blind Contour Drawing is a great exercise in improving your hand-eye coordination and artistic observational skills.

It’s a technique that will force you to see a subject as a series of lines and shapes rather than a specific face or object.

I like to use pencil and then embellish afterwards with a fine-line sharpie and watercolor wash but you can bring any drawing materials you wish plus paper and paints.

Also, please bring some magazine and/or photos of faces (including animals if you wish) for reference.

This journey will be especially beneficial to the perfectionist in all of us!
